Robert's eyes shot open as the knocking came again. He raced to the door, but Raven just caught him before he could open it.
“Careful, lad,” he said, “there's still something nasty out there. Don't step outside.”
Cautiously, Raven opened the door. Outside, Fiona stood looking like she'd been dragged through a hedge.
“I wasn't sure if you were in.” She said faintly.
Raven reached out, gently taking her arm. “There, there,” he soothed, “Why don't you come inside?” He drew her towards him. As she came through the door she collapsed into Robert's arms.
