“We?” asks the doll.
Fiona turns to gesture at the cats and Strauss, only to find she stands alone.
“I had companions,” she replies, “but they must be elsewhere.”
“Indeed they must!” says the doll in a smug tone. “Tell us then, gentle lady, what brings you to the Weave in such a wakeful state?”
