“Still rather early, we believe,” Strauss replies.
“Good. I want to enjoy this for a bit. Wheeee!” She giggles as
the couple turn, throwing her head back. “This is such fun” she
looks at Larry. “Now explain the captain's behaviour.”
“We believe there are two possible explanations. On the one hand
he is being manipulated, by someone with very great influence, to
guide you through the Weave. Whether they be friend or foe is
unclear. Or on the other hand, the gaoler who built the prison
didn't think too much about what they were putting in there. Didn't
think about the psychology of the décor.”
