“You can pour me one of those if you like,” I said. I know that my son takes after his father when it comes to his nerves. “Let's just pause and have a drink. We may not have escaped the madness yet, but we're still together.” I took Robert's hand in mine and squeezed as Edward passed me a drink. “Let's take some comfort in that.”
