“I think
it's safe to say the Lord of Doors retains his influence,” Raven
tells her.
“Don't he
always,” she spits. “And the ponce?”
“As ever,
he lays his plans.” Raven replies, feeling relief when he sees
the door of the cottage.
“And the
others? What of the others?”
“I'm
afraid I can only speak of the Author. It appears he continues to
lose himself in rules and regulations.”
“So Doors,
the Peacock and the Author,” Nan says, “That's all you know?”
“As I
said,” Raven replies, “I'm a little out of touch.”
“No
bloomin' use to old Nan then, are you little birdie?”
