“Is there
anything else I should know about your cellar?” Oak asked. “A
phantom of the washing machine, perhaps, or a dragon in the toolbox?”
“Nothing
that springs to mind,” I told him. “Except the freezer was never
this loud, or as constant; it used to come on for five minutes every
hour or so.”
“I see,”
he said, “And you're sure there's nothing else to worry about?”
“You can't
seriously be worried about a family joke,” Edward said.
“Something is vibrating your house,” Oak gave him that stern look
he's so fond of.
“But you can't...” Edward started to reply.
