“I can't
just stay here,” Fiona tells them, “I've got to find Raven.”
“Ah yes,”
Strauss responds, “The mighty Corvus. We are not sure that would
be wise either.”
“Why?”
she asks. “What did he do? Why did the Lord of Doors get so
worked up when I mentioned his name?”
“That,
m'lady, is a long story,” Strauss tells her, “and not one to be
told within these walls.”
“Then we'd
better go and find some different walls so you can tell me.” With
that, Fiona takes a deep breath and flings open the bedroom door,
steeling herself to confront whatever lies beyond.
In front of
her is a very plain corridor, with another door at the end.
