Fox glances
over shoulders at other notebooks before returning her journey to the
school's computers.
“Ms Fox!”
declares Ms Firnley, “You cannot...” Her words are cut off before
she can start.
“Your
constant interruptions are neither helpful nor welcome,” Fox snaps.
“Time is, quite literally, of the essence right now. Let me do my
job, and I'll attend to all inane queries later.”
“Inane...”
Ms Firnley begins, but is quickly silenced with a look.
Fox stands
behind the computers, watching as the children type with the skill of
qualified secretaries. “Oh dear,” she says, after observing for
a few seconds, “That's not good. Not good at all.”
“What's
not good?” Ms Firnley asks.
“This,”
replies Fox, gesturing at the whole class.
“What's
'not good' about it?”
Fox winks.
“Hive Mind.”
