“Wha...”
Oak groaned again, “What's happened?”
He
opened his eyes groggily, looking around him. You could see his arms
twitch when he tried to move but the restraints held him fast. He
still wasn't quite with us as he blinked and shook his head, slowly
taking in the changes in circumstance.
One
moment he was confused, the next angry. “What is the meaning of
this?” he demanded. “Why have I been restrained?”
The
cats, meanwhile, were circling his chair, sniffing at him.
“This
doesn't...” the dark one started.
“...belong
in a house,” her companion continued.
“This
belongs...”
“...outdoors.”
“I
wont let you do it,” Mary told him, “I'm taking control. You can
stay there until my son returns with Raven.”
