I
thought Oak was going to reply when he opened his mouth but the sound
that emerged was not spoken words. Instead we could hear the sound
of leaves being gently ruffled by a breeze. Both cats hissed at him
sharply when he did this, but he continued nonetheless. The sound
changed over a few seconds, like the breeze was picking up, becoming
a full blown wind on a blustery day. The cats both hissed again,
longer this time. The dark haired one was raising her arm to strike
him when he stopped.
“What
on earth...?” Edward asked.
“I
have informed the Forest of my current incarceration,” Oak replied,
“They will take the appropriate actions.”
