dunno, sumfink about a broke fairytale,” Rocknipples replies before
returning his attention back to Raven. “So wot if we is?”
“Well the problem
with broken stories,” Raven says, giving the guide a very serious
look, “Is that unexpected things happen, often out of order. You
have to be ready for them when they do.” He finishes the sentence
with a wink to the guide.
“Why, wot's going to
happen?”
“That's supposed to
be a secret,” Raven tells the troll, reaching into his pocket as he
does. “I can tell you, but I'll have to whisper. Pull me a little
closer to make sure you hear properly.”
