sorry,” Fiona says, “I'm afraid I don't understand the
distinction.”
“M'lady,
as I understand it, the Warp has a very rigid structure. A corridor
would be inside a building or structure of some kind. But we are not
in the Warp, and here a corridor can be simply that,” Strauss
gestures around him. “A corridor. It can lead from one place to
another, or it can lead no place at all. It could even lead to the
belly of a dragon.”
They take
another turn to the left into another new corridor. But this one is
different, Fiona realises. For although it is very long, Fiona can
see that it leads to a door.
