Further
down the ladder and Raven can begin to make out the landscape below.
He and his companion are descending into a massive cavern of a
warehouse. To his left, Raven can see one of the walls, but to his
right the wall of books just disappears into haze. Down on the
ground, there are ten rows of blocks, cupboards or shelves of some
sort. Each block is separated from the next by a group of six desks,
arranged to face each other, with three lamps. It soon becomes clear
to Raven that he is climbing down into a vast library, full of
activity. There are people everywhere, putting books on shelves,
moving them around, reading them, sorting them.
“Bravo,”
declares the guide above him, “I think we've found the legendary
Lost Library of Dreams.”
