As Fiona turns to
leave, she hears the prince say “I do hope we'll have the pleasure
of you company tomorrow.”
“Unlikely,” she
mutters to herself. Curly tugs at her arm to get her to hurry,
causing her to stumble and almost trip, losing a shoe in the process.
She tries to turn back for it, but Curly drags her away. “Sod
it,” she mumbles, kicking the other one off and running barefoot
behind him.
They chase down a long,
stately corridor, through an impressive doorway into the courtyard
where her carriage awaits. Four proud, statuesque white horses stand
bridled to a stately gold carriage fit for any queen. Fiona can see
that they're really a pumpkin and four white mice, but she climbs
into the carriage with Captain Bear nonetheless.
